Warlords of the Accordlands Previews

Class Preview: Ranger

Though Deverenia once claimed the whole of the Accordlands, most of it has not known civilization since before the Dragon’s fall at the end of the First War. Monsters rule these lands, and instinctively oppose any attempt at settling them. Even the barbarian tribes have great difficulty surviving in such hostile terrain, but specialized hunters — the rangers — scour the wilderness and destroy any threats. Indeed, most rangers consider themselves defenders of their societies.

Class Preview: Illusionist

Though scorned and ridiculed by "proper" wizards, necromancers, and summoners, illusionists understand the thin protections between perception and truth, and exploit those weaknesses passionately. Originally thought of as Deverenian parlor tricks, a few skilled and crafty illusionists elevated their amusements to masterful manipulations. Though rarely given the respect they are due, illusionists tend not to mind - after all, perception is their province, even perceptions of themselves.

Class Preview: Assassin

Death comes to all eventually, but sometimes eventually is just not soon enough. In the Accordlands, such thinking is an infamous way of life for far more people than anyone cares to admit, as the Assassins Strike suggests. Whether murderous limbs of the establishment, callous servants of the Thieves Guild, or ruthless vigilantes, assassins ply their deadly trade seemingly at will.
