Misunderstood
and maligned, the Yscar
lycanthropes are the elite of the Yscarite heresy, and among the
greatest warriors in the battle against Bascaron. Though nothing overtly
separates the lycanthropy from advanced Bascarite cultists, the subtle
differences of personality soon give way to a multitude of bestial
forms, both subtle and fantastic. Where the Bascarites invite wild
change, the lycanthropes control it.
The
Dark Horsemen are the premier
mercenary band of the Accordlands, and some speculate that their fees
add up to a purse exceeding the treasuries of some small nations. Though
Kerebrus’ band demands a high rate, none have ever doubted their worth.
Every nation has hired Dark Horsemen, since every nation has worried
about their enemies doing so first. The greatest of these sellswords
form specialized units, organized specifically to counter the enemy’s
own elite.
